From epic fantasy to space opera, steampunk to urban sci-fi, and everything in between. Most episodes are stand-alone short stories, but I also mix in book excerpts and episodic novels, and novellas for a variety of content. But beyond that, I believe in bringing authors and readers together, which is why each episode includes detailed information about the featured author. In many cases, you'll have the opportunity to connect with them and discover even more of their amazing work.Tall Tale TV was born out of a personal experience. When I went temporarily blind for a year, I turned to audiobooks and audio drama as an escape. Once my sight was restored, I decided to pay it forward and become an audiobook narrator myself. This podcast is my gift back to the community.Don't miss out on this exciting journey of discovery and imagination. Decent podcast but…
I enjoy the narration style, but I sure wish you didn’t do so many super short narrations. I listen at work and having to constantly fiddle with my phone because a story is only 10 or so minutes, is really annoying.

    Absolutely Fantastic - Crimally Underrated
I’ve been a big fan of horror short story podcasts (e.g. Otis Jiry’s Scary Stories Told in the Dark) for a while, but sometimes I’m not in the mood for a fright, so I was looking for a fantasy version of that format when I stumbled on this absolute gem. The story selection is of the highest quality, Chris’s personality is warm and inviting, his delivery and voice acting are top notch, and he gets right to the story with no fluff or ads. The icing on the cake is that this podcast is still running, unlike many hidden gems I discover long after their expiration dates - if you’re reading this, Chris, please, never stop! I recently started listening to Lesley Herron’s book series starting with “Of Monsters and Mushrooms” and am absolutely enthralled. This series alone would be more than worth its own podcast. The plot is superb, the world rich and imaginative, and the characters feel genuinely alive. I’ve listened to nothing at work but these chapters for a few days now, and I’ve found myself laughing and smiling ear to ear almost all day at the witty dialogue, the comical scenarios, and just the substance of the story. Thank you Lesley for enriching my days so much with your wonderful writing! Is there any way to support you guys? Have a patreon, or hard copies of your book for sale? I want to support your excellent content. I’m also curious about the original works by J D Wiley, which I haven’t been able to find online

    The Best Podcast
I absolutely love this podcast I listen to it over on Spotify and have been listening since October 2021 and I’m just overly in love with this show. My favorite series is the one written by his wife. I’ve even been inspired to write a short story based on two characters from the first book and look forward to soon submit it in hopes that it’s worthy to be on the podcast. I’m still behind on the episodes but I love feeling like I’m binge listening to the podcast. I hope Chris continues to do this for years to come. This is just the perfect podcast ever and I love the different voices for the characters and everything. Can I just say again that I just love this podcast lol.

    Talented Narrator and Wonderful Stories!
This is a fun podcast that is a delightful escape from the daily grind. Chris is a talented narrator who has worked hard from his early shows (which were fine!) to now where his accents and narration pace are just terrific. He clearly enjoys reading these stories - and I enjoy listening to the diverse stories he provides.

Fantastic podcast for quick sci-do that’s classic minus all the PC stuff. Really well done with great stories.

There’s Great Wonder and Amazement To Be Had Here
If you’d like to enjoy an entertaining and exciting ride through the galaxy with an enthusiastic and talented narrator, then check this Podcast out. I believe One Man is responsible for most of the goings on here and it’s clearly obvious that he cares about giving us a good production. I hear and feel it in every episode! Is the narrator perfect, his mom and I think so! I love the voices and characters he creates. Yeah, it’s a lot of fun hangin’ out here. The current selections are on time and done well, the sound quality is excellent; the content isn’t too harsh. The catalog is filled with lots of fun Tid-Bits and very worth checking out.

    Great Show
Chris, thank you so much for producing this show. I’ve been listening for about a year, and the stories and narrations just keep getting better. I highly recommend this podcast for fans of sci-fi and fantasy short stories.

    Good Work!
I wish you a box of lozenges and a crate of tea. As a recommendation, I suggest listening to accents to better mimic them. There are different kinds of British accents, for example.

    New favorite
As a big fan of horror, sci-fi, and fiction anthology podcasts, and like media in general, I was really excited to have found this podcast after listening to a couple stories. Really appreciate the brief micro-genre descriptions for each story, wish more anthology podcasts would do that. Only thing I think would make this even better is a bit of subtle background music, and/or sounds, to help set the tone and atmosphere during parts of some stories. I’ve only listed to a couple so far though so could be wrong. Either way, really enjoying it!
